The cost of Solar Power has been going down over the last few years and the information to build your own Solar Panels and Wind Generators are all over the internet. Be wary however of some of the How to Guides and DIY Kit that are being sold on the internet. Some are not very good and leave a lot of information out or put the wrong information in.
Some of the Advantages both economically and environmentally of solar power are:
Environmental Advantages
• The sun is a renewable energy source. The sun will never run out and its energy supply is unlimited.
• There are no pollutants using Solar Power. No carbon dioxide no chemicals no toxic wastes or bi- products.
• Solar panels have no moving parts, turbines or engines that require any fossil fuel.
• By using solar and wind power we would greatly reduce the amount of pollutants and provide our kids with a cleaner planet.
Economical Advantages
• By using Passive Solar Power you can have a cheap and reliable power supply as long as you have the proper panels and have them positioned correctly. Also an amply supply of sunlight is necessary.
• No fuel of gas to buy. Solar power would eliminate the cost of having oil or propane delivered to you home
• No Federal Fuel Tax- The Federal government has cannot put a tax on the sun (Or at least the haven't figured out a way yet!
• Increased property values. Many homes that have been selling on the market have shown that homes with Solar Power have been able to sell for more money, thus increasing property values.
So as you can see Solar power is the best and cleanest way of powering your house. If you're interested in building your own Solar Panels go to these site for more information on Home Solar Panel kits.
